What this page is

Whenever something on this site changes in a way that could affect a reader's judgement, it gets an entry: which page, what it said, what it says now, and when. Typos and layout tweaks do not qualify.

Why bother? Because on a subject involving money, whether a site will admit it got something wrong tells you more than how accurate it claims to be.

Log

2026-08-29 · An author page, and at least two checkable primary sources on every article

Of the 36 articles on this site, 13 previously carried no external primary source in the body and 7 carried only one. Every article now carries at least two, pointing at the pages that directly support the claim in question: Binance's identity verification help article, its P2P scam guidance, its stocks product page and fee schedule, Circle's and Tether's own transparency pages, the ADGM register record for Nest Trading Limited, and the NYSE trading calendar. There is also a new author page setting out that Shen Jianchuan is a pen name, how the material is made, what it covers, and the three areas we explicitly do not cover: tax, legal eligibility, and anything requiring account access. Every article's schema now points its author field there.

2026-08-29 · Corrected the claim that Binance commits to no verification timeframe

The text said Binance does not commit to a duration for identity verification. That was wrong: Binance's identity verification help article (marked updated 2026-06-05) puts review at typically within 48 hours. The relevant passages and FAQ answers in all three languages now cite that figure, while keeping the point that manual review is noticeably slower.

2026-08-29 · Fixed a dead external source link

The P2P risk page cited the US Federal Trade Commission's cryptocurrency scam guidance with an extra segment in the URL (-and-), pointing at an address that does not exist. It now uses the correct URL, and the Arabic version carries the same source.

2026-08-29 · Removed unverifiable first-person experience

Several articles contained lines like "the first time we did this we used an amount small enough to write off" and "the form caught us out the first time too". Nothing dated, located or documented backed them up, so a reader had no way to check them. Those lines in all three languages are now written as recommendations that do not lean on our own claimed experience.

2026-08-29 · Custody-chain sources moved from directory landing pages to the specific record

The account pages in all three languages used to link the ADGM public register home page and Alpaca's disclosures index, leaving readers to search from there. They now link the ADGM record for Nest Trading Limited directly (FSRA number 260000, registered 5 January 2026, Active at the time of writing), and the restriction on that record is now quoted in the text: it is not permitted to hold or control Client Money. That is the regulatory side of the same fact as Binance not custodying your securities. Alpaca now points to its Broker API page. Official Binance links on each of those pages went from five to three, with the duplicated terms and help-centre links merged.

2026-08-28 · The EU and UK access note now appears in both languages

The English pages already said that readers in the EU and the UK have found it hard to open new accounts; the Chinese pages did not. That materially affects whether the route is worth your time, so both language versions now carry it. We do not publish a country list — that scope moves, and the sign-up page you see is the real answer.

2026-08-26 · Wording that called this site an official partner of the exchange came down, and so did the mark

The footer, the home page and a few conversion blocks used to describe this site as an official promotional partner of the exchange, next to an exchange mark we had redrawn ourselves, and the share images carried a badge saying much the same. That overstated the relationship: we use the exchange’s public referral link, and hold no official standing, agency or authorisation. Those spots now state only the fact — some links here carry a referral parameter — alongside the disclaimer that this is not Binance and not a licensed broker. The redrawn mark and the badge are gone. The links themselves, the referral code and the fee explanations are unchanged.

2026-08-24 · A planned ticker mapping table became a glossary

The tools section was planned to include a mapping between tokenised stock tickers and their underlying symbols. While building it we found the full list could not be verified item by item from public sources, and a partly-wrong ticker table is more dangerous than none — placing the wrong order is an expensive mistake. It shipped as a glossary instead, which is material we can get entirely right. The original plan was never published; this is logged to leave a trace of the trade-off.

2026-08-24 · Site identity moved from a placeholder to the live domain

During construction this site ran under a temporary identifier which appeared in page titles and descriptions. Those have been replaced now that kwotra.com is confirmed. If you find a link elsewhere pointing at the old identifier, this address is the current one.

That is the log so far

The site is new and small, so there is nothing further to record yet. Leaving it thin beats inventing entries to fill it. Anything that comes up gets added above.

Telling us about a mistake

Email [email protected] with the page address and what you are actually seeing. Those get priority. Confirmed errors are fixed in the article and recorded here.
