What we write, and what we do not

One selection rule: is this something a reader is stuck on that existing material does not resolve? "What is a stock" is answered everywhere and we skip it. "Why is there no stocks tab in my account" gets asked in forums and answered properly nowhere, so it goes to the front of the queue.

Categories we do not write: price forecasts, targets, stock picks, any form of return promise, and methods for getting around geographic restrictions.

How facts get checked

• Primary sources first. Fees, rules and product structure come from the platform's own terms and documentation, never from someone else's summary.
• Anything that moves gets a checked date. Fee tiers, limits and regional scope all change, so the house style is a range, a checked date, and a pointer to the official page, not a fixed number presented as permanent fact. A calculator cannot avoid concrete values, so every tool labels its output as a rule simulation as of a stated month, prints the fee assumptions it used, and links the official schedule next to the result. Still not permanent fact.
• Second-hand claims are labelled as such. Some things appear consistently across guides without our being able to confirm them officially. Those get written as "this is reported, try it" rather than as statements.
• Protocol-level facts can be stated directly — settlement cycles, session times, things with public definitions.

How tools are described

Every tool page states which published terms the formula comes from, when it was checked, and what it does not include. We do not write "real-time" over a static formula, and we do not claim an API where a constant is hard-coded. What the page says and what the code does have to match. No exceptions.

Where AI sits in this

We are not going to pretend every word here was typed by hand, and we do not think using tools is something to conceal. Concretely:

• Research, first drafts and code are assisted by AI tools;
• but every factual figure and conclusion that reaches the page has been checked by a person against a primary source — nothing goes out on a model's say-so;
• we do not generate fabricated first-hand testing, fake screenshots or invented user stories;
• graphics here are drawn programmatically or captured from real pages; we do not pass AI illustration off as a photograph.

The question worth caring about is not who typed the first draft. It is whether somebody checked it against the source before publication. We do.

This site is funded by the referral links it carries, set out fully in the disclosure — including one item that works against us: stock trading itself generates no promotion fee. Having a commercial relationship does not mean the content bends to it. Drawbacks, limits and risks stay in.

When we are wrong

Confirmed errors get corrected in the article and logged in corrections, stating what was wrong and when it changed. Where an error affects a conclusion, we mark it in the piece. We do not quietly edit and move on.
